The perception of this situation
Is making it hard to tell
The way we feel about ourself
To know if we already fell

The sensations aren't connecting
Aren't transducing all the way
So am I perceiving this correctly?
There isn't much understanding at bay

I feel like this is processing top-down
Isn't it supposed to be bottom-up?
I feel like we're just making assumptions
Too far away to see the lack of water in the cup

So we find ourselves here yet again
Trying to figure things out
We're both unsure of what we want
Our perceptions are causing us to doubt

I'm not sure that I should need you
And I know you feel the same
So I'm thinking we should let each other go
Cause we're trying to win a losing game
